Toowoomba Catholic Schools are embarking on an exciting project, to create a contemporary education, sporting and cultural hub in the thriving community of Westbrook. St Francis Catholic College will enable the families of Westbrook and surrounds to build on the already established connections within their neighbourhoods, and together with Toowoomba Catholic Schools, establish and grow a place in which every student flourishes.

We know that this is a community that is family focussed and continues to attract more and more like minded families to become a part of something special. As this community grows, so too does the need for them to have the option to educate their children locally. A place that has facilities and opportunities that reflect their hopes and aspirations.
Being located on such a large parcel of land, with expansive views and easy pedestrian and vehicle access, the ability to deliver a College that will provide what parents want for their children and a place that will engage young people in learning through both natural and built environments is possible. A place of wonder - that will have the community at its heart!
Toowoomba Catholic Schools has bold ambitions and knows that delivering a College that provides the full 13 years of education in one location is highly desirable to families. With the already established neighbourhoods and future planned development in the area, we believe in this community and want to grow along with it.
St Francis of Assisi is the patron Saint of ecology and had a deep connection with the Earth and its creatures. With the College being built in an area that is known for its natural flora and fauna this name will guide the planning of the College site, as well as encouraging staff and students to embrace their surroundings and learn within them.
The site for St Francis Catholic College is on the corner of Shoesmith Road and Boundary Street South. Covering nearly 10 hectares of land, the College will include educational, cultural and sporting facilities that it is envisaged will become a hub for community use outside of school hours.
The first stage of approvals for St Francis Catholic College, Westbrook has been received through a Ministerial Infrastructure Designation (MID) and State government capital funding. The College is now planned to open to Prep to Year 3 and Year 7 students in 2027. Information will be updated as we reach further significant milestones.
Applications for enrolment in 2027 for Prep to Year 3 and Year 7 students are being accepted via our online enrolment form. Please be aware that interviews and confirmation of enrolment at St Francis Catholic College will take place during 2026.
